PMU Brow Services

(Semi/Permanent Makeup)

What is the difference between permanent and semi permanent makeup?

The terms permanent makeup and semi permanent mean essentially the same and will last about the same time. Both terms are used in the cosmetic tattoo industry for services using tattoo machines. Usually lasting up to 3 years but can last longer with routine touchups once a year. If you would like more information regarding further explanation on these two terms you can head over to my blog to read more.

Micro Blading Vs. Tattoo Machine

The term micro blading in the cosmetic enhancement industry refers to the tool used to implant the pigment into the skin. It is a pen like tool composed of a blade made up of tiny needles aligned in the shape of a blade. The tool is used to cut through the top layer of the skin to deposit the pigment. Micro Blading is best for more mature skin or dryer skin types.

A tattoo machine used in the cosmetic industry tends to be much smaller and slimmer than a traditional tattoo machine. These machines can vary in size and power and have the ability to use different disposable needle cartridges to suite the artist and clients needs. With a tattoo machine pigment is deposited into the top layer of skin in micro dots vs cutting like micro blading, making it easier for the skin to heal while creating softer longer lasting results. The work performed with this machine is referred to as “machine work” This tool is great for all skin types and can be used for several different cosmetic enhancements such as brows, lip blushing, eyeliner, scalp micro pigmentation (SMP), scar camouflage, and more.

Ombre Powder Brows

Fully shaped and defined brows that have a gradient from light to dark. Perfect solution for tattoo coverup. This technique is used to shade and fill in the brow giving the brows a soft powder look almost like makeup. Ideal for those who love the look of perfectly defined brows. Suitable for all skin types and best option for oily skin.

Nano Brows

This technique is used to create natural looking hair strokes throughout the majority of the brow and light shading in the tail. The Nano technique is similar to micro blading but instead of cutting the skin the hair strokes are made by depositing micro dots of ink using a nano needle and tattoo pen. Perfect for clients who don’t always fill in their brows on a regular basis. Suitable for all skin types but heals the best on normal/dry skin.
